What is histamine? 

Our immune system is designed to protect us against genuine threats to our health, such as bacteria, viruses and parasites. Sometimes it can develop an overreaction to certain chemicals in the environment such as pollen, animal fur and dust mites. When this happens, the chemical histamine is released by mast cells, which are part of the immune system, resulting in uncomfortable symptoms such as itching, swelling, sneezing, and watery eyes.  

What is quercetin?  

Quercetin is a naturally occurring plant flavonoid found in a range of fruits and vegetables, including onions, apples and berries. It is valued for its antioxidant activity and its role in supporting the body’s natural histamine response. It is thought to help support mast cell stability, which may assist in maintaining a balanced immune response.

What are the benefits of liposomal quercetin?  

Many quercetin products available are not liposomal and use large amounts of poorly absorbed quercetin. Our liposomal quercetin is contained in a protective phospholipid coating, resulting in very small particles that are easily absorbed in the gut and into cells. Our quercetin is therefore many times more effective than a standard product, even at lower doses.  

Is Quercetin Plus safe for kids?  

Yes, this product can be taken by children ages 6 years and above at 1 capsule daily.
